What therapy costs
No surprises: here's exactly what sessions cost, which insurance plans I accept, and how payment works.
Insurance
I'm in-network with the plans below. An EAP is an employee assistance program, which often pays for a set number of sessions through your employer:
- Aetna/Banner
- Cigna
- Cigna EAP
- Curative
- United Healthcare
- United Healthcare EAP
If your plan isn't listed, or you want to check your coverage first, contact Mindful Therapy Group, the practice that handles my billing, at 623-306-7500 or goodyear@mindfultherapygroup.com.
New to using insurance for therapy? I wrote two plain-language guides: how to use your health insurance for therapy in Arizona and how free EAP sessions work.
Private pay
Sessions are 50–55 minutes and cost $100 per session without insurance. I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your session are free. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice incur a $100 fee. You can cancel or reschedule online anytime.
Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have insurance, or you choose not to use it, a federal law called the No Surprises Act gives you the right to a written estimate of your costs before you start. The details are on the Good Faith Estimate page.
Questions about coverage?
If you are not sure what your plan covers, ask Mindful Therapy Group before you book. There's no pressure either way.
